Therapy
The Department of Abuse Therapy is a part of Monar's hospital at ul. Marywilska 44 in Warsaw.
The department caries out therapy for patients staying in the hospital. The patients, coming from all over Poland, are abusing alcohol, homeless and without any health security.
To take part in a therapeutic programme, you first have to go through an interview with the head of the department. The interviews are taking place every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 1.30 and 4 p.m.
A patient can start in the therapy, when there is room in the department. The programme lasts for 17 weeks and takes place every weekday between 8.30 a.m. and 3 p.m. After 3 p.m. patients have to work for Monar (5 hours per week) and to make written exercises.
The Department of Abuse Therapy has room for 40 patients. The patients also have access to medical care in Monar's hospital (dentist, doctor).
During the treatment the patients must not drink alcohol or use drugs (or any medicine without permission from a doctor). If this rule is broken, the patient has to leave the Center.
