Rehabilitation Hostel for Disadvantaged and Homeless Adolescents
The Hostel was established in 2005 in order to help young people in unfavourable conditions and often also with alcohol or drug problems. For many reasons these adolescents are in deep emotional crisis, and they have no work and no place to live. Some of them are waiting for the possibility to start in a therapeutic programme after they have been detoxificated or because of other problems (for example lack of an insurance which can pay the participation in the programme).
Besides waiting for or taking part in the therapy each person in the Hostel has special individual tasks - ranging from tasks which increase motivation and change bad behaviour and attitudes, to tasks which involve social skills, increased responsibility and involvement in the life of the house and the preparation of a personal plan of how to become independent. The programme carried out in the Hostel is based on the rules of a therapeutic community.
The Hostel offers:
- room for 20 men and women between 18-26
- psychological help (individual and group based)
- the therapeutic community method
- workshops focused on stress reduction, social skills etc.
- education
- counselling in social and legal matters
- preparation to live an active life
